We are looking for a Transport Manager to take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve OPERATIONAL STANDARDS and customer requirements.
?WHAT YOU'LL DO.

  • Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers
  • Innovate & Optimise: Develop and implement transport strategies that enhance efficiency and drive success. Your ideas will help us stay ahead of the curve!
  • Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
  • Team Builder: Develop, engage and inspire your team, creating an environment where every colleague can do their best
  • Analyse & Improve: Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will help us deliver excellence every day!
?WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
  • Hold an International CPC Qualification (essential)
  • Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
  • In?depth O?Licence compliance: DVSA standards, OCRS management, tachograph/WTD/RTD, driver hours, defect & maintenance regimes, incident reporting.
  • H&S qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) or NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred).
  • Driver management expertise: Driver CPC oversight, fatigue/risk management, rostering, agency management, industrial relations.
  • Strong multi?drop/last?mile experience: planning dense routes, time?window adherence, late?cutoff handling, and store back?door delivery protocols.
  • Temperature?controlled operations (if chilled/frozen): fridge monitoring, temperature records, trailer pre?trip checks, product segregation.
  • Commercial acumen: budget/P&L ownership, cost?to?serve, rate cards, fleet utilisation, OTIF/DIFOT
Performance routines: daily/weekly reviews, driver scorecards, CI huddles, action logs.
