We are looking for a Transport Manager to take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve OPERATIONAL STANDARDS and customer requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers Innovate & Optimise: Develop and implement transport strategies that enhance efficiency and drive success. Your ideas will help us stay ahead of the curve! Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone. Team Builder: Develop, engage and inspire your team, creating an environment where every colleague can do their best Analyse & Improve: Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will help us deliver excellence every day!

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship Hold an International CPC Qualification (essential) Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed In?depth O?Licence compliance: DVSA standards, OCRS management, tachograph/WTD/RTD, driver hours, defect & maintenance regimes, incident reporting. H&S qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) or NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred). Driver management expertise: Driver CPC oversight, fatigue/risk management, rostering, agency management, industrial relations. Strong multi?drop/last?mile experience: planning dense routes, time?window adherence, late?cutoff handling, and store back?door delivery protocols. Temperature?controlled operations (if chilled/frozen): fridge monitoring, temperature records, trailer pre?trip checks, product segregation. Commercial acumen: budget/P&L ownership, cost?to?serve, rate cards, fleet utilisation, OTIF/DIFOT Performance routines: daily/weekly reviews, driver scorecards, CI huddles, action logs.
