WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
Hold an International CPC Qualification (essential)
Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
In?depth O?Licence compliance: DVSA standards, OCRS management, tachograph/WTD/RTD, driver hours, defect & maintenance regimes, incident reporting.
H&S qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) or NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred).
Driver management expertise: Driver CPC oversight, fatigue/risk management, rostering, agency management, industrial relations.
Strong multi?drop/last?mile experience: planning dense routes, time?window adherence, late?cutoff handling, and store back?door delivery protocols.
Temperature?controlled operations (if chilled/frozen): fridge monitoring, temperature records, trailer pre?trip checks, product segregation.
Commercial acumen: budget/P&L ownership, cost?to?serve, rate cards, fleet utilisation, OTIF/DIFOT
Performance routines: daily/weekly reviews, driver scorecards, CI huddles, action logs.
