Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Transport Manager to oversee and optimise our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and supply chain management. This role requires excellent communication abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient delivery of goods. Develop and implement transport strategies to improve service quality and reduce costs. Oversee the scheduling of drivers and vehicles, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources. Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies. Provide training and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, to prepare reports and communicate effectively.

Experience

Proven experience in a management role within the transport or logistics sector. TM CPC Holder Proficient in IT systems relevant to transport management; computer literacy is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development.
