About the Role

As Transport Manager at Flair Windows, you'll be at the heart of our daily operations -- ensuring our products reach customers safely, efficiently, and on time. Managing a fleet of 27 vehicles and a dedicated team of drivers, you'll play a key role in route planning, cost control, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in running a well-organised, compliant transport operation.

Working hours Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

Route Planning: Design and distribute daily delivery routes for each driver, ensuring efficiency and clarity.

Customer Liaison: Communicate with customers ahead of deliveries to confirm schedules, manage expectations, and build positive relationships.

Driver Management: Oversee drivers' schedules and hours, provide daily support, and ensure smooth communication throughout each shift.

Fleet Management: Maintain service schedules, MOTs, and repairs for a fleet of 27 vehicles. Track and analyse associated costs.

Compliance: Carry out safety checks, monitor tachograph records, and ensure all transport activities comply with relevant legislation.

Recruitment & Training: Manage driver recruitment, onboarding, licence checks, and risk assessments.

Cost Control: Monitor and manage budgets for fuel, maintenance, and transport operations.

Operational Support: Be present in the yard while drivers load up, provide printed route plans, and answer any queries regarding ETAs or delivery issues.

What We're Looking For

Strong organisational and planning skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Experience in transport or logistics management

Knowledge of driver hour regulations, tachographs, and compliance standards

A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Pay: Up to 35,000.00 per year
