DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required
Track and trace orders using functional systems such as an In-house tracking software
Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration
Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment
Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

Previous and demonstrative experience as a Transport Manager, within a logistics environment or similar role with a CPC prefered.
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management and DHL procedures and practices .
Understanding and practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
