Transport Operations Controller

to join our team in

Feltham

to take full responsibility in organising and controlling the daily transport operation providing a timely and cost-effective delivery service, whilst promoting teamwork in a people-orientated environment. Supporting our

Costa Coffee

contract, you will also have a chance to grow and develop your own team with a focus on continuous improvement.

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 4 days from 8, 07:00 - 19:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to

46,629.00

per annum, and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

Day-to-day, you will deal with all driver-related issues ensuring that all transport legislation is always adhered to Hold responsibility for compliance with company and statutory requirements regarding Operator Licence, H&S, service quality, drivers' hours, and tacho regulations, inclusive of the working time directive Comply with all relevant transport legislation covering the fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements and 'O' Licence requirements Be responsible for transport department resources, induction, assessment, and training, including agency staff, and supporting with HR requirements such as absence, timekeeping, and D&G

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Excellent transport knowledge including route planning, knowledge of driver hour rules and vehicle/transport legislation Experience of working in a fast-moving environment Excellent people management, coaching and influencing skills Holder of Managers CPC is essential
