About the Role

We are a growing logistics company operating within the

UK pallet network and same-day courier sector

. We are looking for an experienced

Transport Operations Co-ordinator

to manage the day-to-day running of transport operations from our office.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong operational knowledge, commercial awareness, and excellent customer communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily transport operations across pallet network and same-day courier services Price ad-hoc and contract jobs accurately and competitively Handle inbound customer enquiries (tracking, PODs, ETAs, service issues) Post, negotiate, and secure work on

haulage exchange platforms

Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, pallet networks, and customers Monitor job progress and proactively resolve operational issues Ensure service levels and delivery deadlines are consistently met Update transport systems, job sheets, and internal records Support sales activity through responsive quoting and follow-up Assist management team

Essential Experience & Skills

Previous experience in a

UK transport or logistics office environment

Strong understanding of

pallet networks and same-day operations

Confident pricing loads and urgent transport jobs Experience using

haulage exchanges

(e.g. CX / HX or similar) Excellent telephone and email communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs simultaneously Strong organisational skills and attention to detail IT literate (transport systems, email, spreadsheets)
