Job Summary:

We are seeking a

Part-Time Transport Operations Manager

to oversee and ensure full compliance across our fleet operations. You will be responsible for maintaining regulatory standards, supporting fleet efficiency, and managing key elements of driver performance and safety. This is a crucial role for our growing operation, currently managing a fleet of 10 x 44-tonne HGVs.

This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a compliance-driven environment and has a passion for operational excellence in transport logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full legal compliance with transport legislation (EU Drivers' Hours, WTD, DVSA, etc.) Maintain and manage the company's

Operator Licence

Monitor and manage fleet maintenance, servicing records, and vehicle roadworthiness Supervise driver tachograph data and working hours Liaise with our external workshop regarding fleet servicing and repairs Respond to and investigate any transport-related incidents or accidents Support and advise on driver training, recruitment, and discipline where necessary Maintain transport documentation and ensure all required records are up-to-date Assist in maintaining or working towards relevant transport accreditations Deliver high standards of customer service through reliable and compliant operations

Qualifications & Requirements:

CPC in Road Haulage (essential)

Valid

Class 1 HGV Licence (preferred)

Previous experience in a transport management or logistics compliance role Strong understanding of transport legislation and fleet operations Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities across limited working hours
