Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation schedules, and ensuring the efficient delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong management, communication, and organisational skills to contribute to a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience in logistics , along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Fluency in English and excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities



Develop and optimise transportation routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimising costs Coordinate with drivers and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries effectively Monitor transport operations using IT systems and adjust plans as necessary to address unforeseen issues Maintain accurate records, schedules, and vehicle maintenance using Microsoft Excel and Outlook Analyse logistical data to improve efficiency and streamline supply chain processes Communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and clients to provide updates and resolve any issues promptly Manage documentation related to transportation activities, including compliance with safety regulations Lead a team of logistics personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of customer service

Experience



Proven management experience within logistics or supply chain environments Extensive knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and transportation planning Previous use of the Haulage or Courier Exchange would be advantagous Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; IT literacy is essential Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development and customer service excellence Prior experience using logistics management software or similar IT systems is highly desirable Previous warehouse experience also advantagous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 24,420.00-30,000.00 per year
