Transport Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Shift Supervisor to support our transport operations on a 4 on 4 off shift basis. As our Transport Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating and delivering the schedule to drivers, utilising resources and responding to customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily transport operations and plans set out by the transport department. Oversee a team of drivers, providing guidance and support as needed. Work with the planning team to implement efficient routing plans to optimise schedules and communicate changes/ updates required to customers, transport team and drivers. Monitor compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any logistical challenges. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance - making sure that systems are kept up to date. Resolve any issues that arise during transport operations promptly and effectively.

Experience/ Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation industry. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency. Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. A valid driver's licence is preferred; additional qualifications in logistics or transport management are advantageous.
