Manage and develop our team of Drivers, ensuring high standards of performance, efficient working practices and compliance with company policies.
Monitor and control absence (holiday, sickness etc.) to ensure compliance with company standards and maintain suitable availability year-round.
Use data-driven analysis to identify areas of potential improvement, then implement changes to drive results forward.
Act as a Transport expert for both internal and external stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service, problem-solving and support across all departments.
Support the day-to-day operational running of the Transport Department.
Provide route planning backup and support when required.
Person Specification - What We're Looking For
People Management:
Proven experience managing, motivating and developing a team while building positive relationships across stakeholders.
Analytical:
Skilled in using data to identify and analyse trends, creating actionable plans to drive improvement.
Strong Communicator:
Clear, professional communication with drivers, management and internal teams.
Customer Focused:
Ability to handle queries, solve problems effectively and operate efficiently to ensure the best possible service for our customers.
Self-Motivated:
Able to take ownership of tasks and work independently without constant supervision.
Multi-Tasking:
Capable of managing and delivering multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in a driver-facing Transport role.
Experience in an LCV logistics environment.
Desirable Experience:
Paragon/Routing experience.
Working in a rapidly expanding Transport environment.
Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety in a Transport setting (IOSH etc.).
Experience writing SOPs and implementing policies/procedures.
