Position: Transport Supervisor

Location: Chester

Package: Circa 37,500 per annum

Hours: Monday - Thursday - 8am - 4.30pm / Friday 8am - 2pm

Contract: Permanent

4Sure Recruitment is excited to support an expanding Client based on the outskirts of Chester on Deeside Industrial Park.

Our client is currently looking to add to the internal transport team with an experienced Transport Supervisor who will oversee the transport and Despatch departments.

Role & Responsibilities - Transport Supervisor:

The main purpose of the Transport Supervisor will be to work alongside the sales, manufacturing teams and map out deliveries and routes the contracted driving division.

The main tasks and activities in this role are to carry out:

Plan weekly schedules in advance for nationwide deliveries ensuring the most efficient route, cost and time schedules are met. Coordinate external contractor drivers and vehicles to ensure products are delivered in a safe and efficient manner. Book in and out using the internal company CRM system. Working across the transport and despatch departments ensuring everything is running to schedule for expected Goods Out Internally supporting and working with a despatch team and organising the structure of their days

Candidates Attributes / Qualifications - Transport Supervisor:

Previous working knowledge from within a Logistics fleet business - Essential Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills IT Literate - MS Office - Essential People management Organised A passion for transport and logistics
