Transport Supervisor - Fresh Produce Logistics

Location: New Covent Garden, London

Job Type: Full-Time | 5 or 6 Days Per Week | Early Start Shifts

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Transport Supervisor to support and coordinate our delivery operations. You'll oversee the day-to-day activities of our driver team, ensure vehicle compliance, and play a key part in maintaining a smooth, efficient, and reliable logistics function.You'll also deputise as a driver when needed -- so a full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Support and supervise the driver team: rotas, performance, and attendanceo Lead early-morning dispatch operations (start between 2:00-4:00am) Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, safety checks, and compliance records Assist with planning routes for efficiency and customer satisfaction Use our software and other systems to manage transport and delivery tracking Liaise with the warehouse and operations teams for smooth handovers Drive deliveries directly when required to maintain service levels Investigate incidents, support safe working practices, and contribute to improvements

What We're Looking For

Experience in a transport, logistics, or delivery operations role Strong leadership and communication skillso A team player who can also take initiative and responsibility Sound understanding of transport compliance (MOTs, driver hours, safety) Comfortable with early starts and hands-on supervision Full UK driving licence (essential) -- van driving experience Organised, calm, and solutions-focused

Working Pattern

5/6 days per week Early shifts: starting between 2:00 and 4:00am, typically finishing early afternoon Based at our New Covent Garden depot

Pay: Up to 38,000.00 per year
