Day to day responsibilities
Reporting to the International Transport Manager, supporting strategic and operational goals
Lead and manage the daily operations of the 4PL Control Tower Team
Ensure timely and efficient execution of all transport schedules in line with customer requirements
Monitor and manage financial performance to meet or exceed business targets
Act as the key point of contact for customer issue resolution, handling complaints promptly and professionally
Attend regular customer review meetings, both on-site and remotely
Prepare and present monthly KPI and performance data for customer reporting packs
Support business development through detailed analysis and cost modelling
Lead or contribute to customer-specific project work and process improvements
Maintain expert knowledge of international freight movements across air, sea, and road
Ensure compliance with international transport documentation, customs procedures, and legal requirements
Use Office 365 and other systems to manage operations, reporting, and communication
Take ownership of a nominated customer account, driving high standards and consistent delivery
Management and recruitment of direct reports
Processing of supplier invoices to ensure prompt payments
Onboarding of new suppliers and leading rate negotiations
Usage of multiple operation specific systems; TMS, WMS, SAP and bookings portals
What will you bring?
Proven experience managing and developing a team within a logistics or transport environment
Strong background in international transport operations (road, ocean, and air), ideally within a 4PL/3PL setting
Experience working in a demanding, customer-facing service environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
High attention to detail with a customer-first mindset
Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and collaboratively
Skilled in data analysis and operational reporting
A flexible, enthusiastic approach with a 'can-do' attitude
Familiarity with customs processes, incoterms and compliance regulations is essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and comfortable using logistics software
