We are now recruiting for an experienced

Transport Supervisor / Cover Driver

to join our team. This is a

dual role

combining office-based transport operations with occasional

Class 1 (C+E) driving cover

to support our growing fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Supervisor Duties:

Assist with daily on road of driver schedules and vehicle movements Monitor compliance with driver hours, working time regulations, and maintenance schedules Complete daily vehicle defect checks and ensure all records are up to date Support with transport administration including reporting, filing, and customer communication Assist with fleet compliance and DVSA requirements

Driving Duties (Cover as Needed):

Provide Class 1 HGV driving cover for holidays, sickness, or busy periods Complete traction-only drop & swap work between fulfilment centres Conduct daily walkaround checks and ensure legal compliance Uphold professional standards when representing the company on the road

Requirements:

Valid

HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

Driver CPC Qualification & Digital Tachograph Card Transport office / compliance experience desirable (training provided) Good understanding of driver hours & road safety regulations Strong communication and organisational skills Comfortable with both office work and occasional tramping Maximum 6 penalty points (No DD, DR, IN endorsements) Must pass background checks, drug & alcohol screening Newly qualified Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply

Schedule:

10-12 hour shifts (Between Sunday to Friday) Day shifts & night shifts (as required) Occasional weekends (No Saturdays)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 43,000.00 per year
