We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Trauma & Orthopaedics Registrar to join our dynamic medical team. Responsibilities
Provide specialised trauma and orthopaedic care to patients across various acute and elective settings.
Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
Support surgical procedures, including pre-operative planning, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative care.
Collaborate closely with consultants, nursing staff, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
Contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including infection control measures.
Qualifications
Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC).
Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the UK Specialist Register or eligible for registration as a Specialty Registrar in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
Demonstrable experience in trauma and orthopaedic medicine, ideally within a hospital environment.
Excellent clinical judgement, communication skills, and organisational abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure within a multidisciplinary team.
