As a Travel Programmes Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering life-changing international experiences. You will coordinate complex travel programmes, manage global partnerships, and ensure every trip runs smoothly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ever-changing requirements.

Summary



Programme Management



Manage the end-to-end delivery of business and group travel programmes for educators, schools, and students. Liaise with international travel partners to obtain quotations and secure bookings. Create quotes for partners, clients, and group programmes, including budgeting and cost analysis to ensure profitability and efficiency. Work with the Sales & Account Managers to develop standardised travel products tailored to each region/market. Support Account Managers in sourcing, contracting, and onboarding new promotional and operational partners. Oversee the delivery of travel logistics, ensuring seamless experiences for both adult delegations and student groups, including, but not limited to: School leadership delegations across multiple countries. Overseas study programmes and school exchanges, combining school immersion and cultural travel. Adapt quickly to ever-changing trip requirements, responding to adjustments in schedules, destinations, and participant needs. Collaborate with internal and external parties to finalise itineraries and ensure accuracy with destination management companies. Maintain accurate records for travel bookings, contracts, partner agreements, and customer data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
Oversee daily operations and lead a dedicated department, ensuring smooth coordination across teams, continuous process improvement, and achievement of organisational goals.

Operational Excellence & Administration



Manage large amounts of data related to travel bookings, partner agreements, customer records, and programme schedules. Ensure smooth transitions from sales to onboarding through to programme delivery. Use GSA's online platform to liaise daily with educators, partners, and customers. Oversee administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, follow-ups, invoice chasing, and bookkeeping support.

Relationship & Partner Management



Build and maintain strong working relationships with global partners--including government organisations, travel agents, schools, and educational organisations. Negotiate contracts, proposals, and agreements to protect margins, safeguard delivery processes, and ensure timely execution. Provide clear and professional communication (written and verbal) in English with stakeholders, including leading education organisations worldwide.

Tech-savvy

: Confident using Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Monday.com, Xero, Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp, Outlook, and able to pick up and adapt to new systems quickly.

Capable of managing large data sets, ensuring accuracy, creating quotes, and maintaining detailed records.

Comfortable managing responsibilities with minimal supervision while also supporting and coordinating team efforts.

Management experience:

Proven ability to oversee teams and departmental operations, provide leadership, mentor staff, and drive performance to achieve organisational objectives.

Nice-to-have:



Experience arranging student trips or similar educational travel programmes. A degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Additional Information



This role is primarily office-based in our Liverpool Hope Street office, working closely with the operations team. Occasional domestic travel may be required for supplier development, group hosting, or programme delivery. Opportunities for international travel to meet partners and oversee programmes. A meticulous, quality-driven, and "hands-on" approach is essential--attention to detail, proactive management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment are highly valued.
