The Travel Risk Manager oversees Peregrine Risk Management's service delivery to clients, ensuring the effective implementation of travel risk strategies and solutions. This role involves managing a range of innovative technologies to support global travel safety programmes, while developing and executing strategies that protect employees and clients during travel.
Key responsibilities include assessing international travel risks, coordinating emergency response protocols, and ensuring compliance with global standards such as ISO 31030. The manager collaborates closely with internal operations and intelligence teams, and external security partners to proactively mitigate and respond to travel-related risks.
Primary Responsibilities (TRM):
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the TRM function across the organisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and global risk standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, value-driven services.
Ensure all travel risk services are delivered in accordance with industry best practices and the ISO 31030 standard for Travel Risk Management.
Oversee the execution of contractual obligations, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)
Actively support the organisation's response to travel-related incidents and global crises, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective resolution.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end travel lifecycle, with a particular focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating travel-related risks.
Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure that all travel-related projects and operations adhere to local laws, regulations, and international standards.
Act as a key liaison between strategic leadership and operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment from both commercial and operational perspectives.
Provide direct support to the Board of Directors during internal and external crises, offering expert guidance and real-time risk intelligence.
Manage relationships with Risk Management partners and our Global Security Network, ensuring optimal performance and integration with internal systems and processes.
Primary Responsibilities (Technology):
Responsible for enhancing, maintaining and overseeing all development roadmaps of all Peregrine Technical Solutions (Foresight, Guardian and Overwatch)
Fully onboard and continue support to all clients using the Technical Platforms
Liaise with client technical/IT Teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
Conduct client-facing demonstrations of technical platforms to support commercial growth
Lead and support demonstrations of the Technical Platforms to potential and prospective clients
Troubleshoot and test all developed features
Identify and investigate potential 'bugs' within the technical platforms to increase client satisfaction
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, International Relations, Security Studies, or related field.
5+ years of experience in travel risk management, corporate security, or crisis response.
Strong knowledge of global travel risks and mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Experience with travel tracking and risk intelligence platforms.
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
