Salary: 14,482 to 16,266 per annum (28,964 to 32,532 full time equivalent)



Contract Type: Permanent Part Time 18.5 hours per week

The Opportunity



You play an active role in planning, delivering and assessing engaging learning experiences that support our students' development within the Travel & Tourism sector. You will work closely with Course and Pathway Leaders, as well as wider colleagues, to create lessons and activities that motivate our learners and encourage them to achieve their goals. You will use a range of effective teaching methods to stretch and challenge our students, helping them to build confidence and understand the opportunities available in the industry.

You will join a dedicated team where your enthusiasm for the subject helps you support and guide young people as they explore their future career options. You will contribute to a positive, collaborative environment and bring a 'can-do' approach to your work, ensuring our students feel supported and inspired. As part of the department, you also help maintain a purposeful learning environment and take part in planning and supervising trips, visits and other activities that enrich the curriculum.

About You



We are seeking a candidate who has a genuine passion for travel, tourism, hospitality, and related industries, and who wants to share that enthusiasm with our learners. You have relevant industrial experience within the sector and can bring real-world knowledge into your teaching. You also have experience of teaching, developing, or coaching others, and a solid understanding of how to teach FE students in Travel and/or Tourism.

You are highly skilled at communicating across all levels, whether with students, colleagues, or industry partners, and you can effectively motivate, inspire and positively influence those around you. You have a proven ability to train and assess students, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

You bring a motivational, positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work, embracing change and focusing on practical solutions. You are collaborative by nature and demonstrate excellent team working skills, contributing to a supportive and purposeful learning environment.

Above all, you are committed to the growth and development of your students, combining your industry expertise, teaching experience, and interpersonal skills to help learners achieve their goals and progress confidently into further study or employment.

Required



Level 4 qualification in a relevant field or substantial industry experience PGCE, CertEd, DTTLS, or willingness to work towards GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or equivalent Relevant industry experience Experience teaching, coaching, or developing others Knowledge and ability to teach FE Travel and/or Tourism
