Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Treasurer to oversee our financial operations.

The treasurer plays a key leadership role in ensuring AHRO's financial integrity and sustainability and provides strategic guidelines and oversight on AHRO's financial matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management skills and be proficient in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accurate reporting, and managing accounts payable.

Responsibilities

Oversee AHRO's financial management ensuring robust processes and controls are in place. Advise the Board on financial strategy, risk management, and resources allocations. Working closely with AHRO's management to monitor budget, cash flows, and financial performances. Ensure the preparation of annual account in accordance with the law. Present financial reports to the Board in a clear and accessible format. Support the development of financial policies and procedures. Ensure AHRO's funds are invested appropriately, achieving both security and growth. Oversee financial compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Experience

Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably as a Treasurer or similar position. Strong knowledge of UK financial management principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms is essential. Experience with accounts payable processes and financial reporting is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 38,000.00-55,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
