With a 52-year legacy, we are committed to the long-term development of our processes, facilities, and workforce. To support our ongoing growth, we seek an experienced Accounting professional to help drive our strategic objectives.
Role Overview:
As Treasury and Management Accountant you will report to and work alongside the Finance Director and be responsible for the entirety of Armeg's financial affairs. The role is very varied and incorporates all aspects of treasury, financial and management accounting as well as data management, information provision, systems management, company secretarial, payroll and HMRC tax management. It is a perfect opportunity to develop and explore all aspects of accounting within a small to medium business enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting -
Preparation of both Financial and management accounts on a monthly and annual basis. Interpretation and reporting of data, balance sheet reconciliations, financial lease management, month-end routines, and annual forecasting.
Treasury Accounting
- Day to day management of both UK and Forex bank accounts. Daily control of cash affairs, with weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting and the provision and interpretation of data and monthly reporting.
Payroll and Taxes
- Preparation of monthly payroll and Director's payments, PAYE calculation and quarterly VAT returns submission.
Systems control and Management Information
- Working with external support companies to maintain internal computer systems. Create, develop, and maintain management information and data reports to assist all functions and to help improve Armeg performance working against agreed performance indicators.
Skills & Experience and Personal Characteristics
Skills Required:
AAT qualified working towards professional qualification i.e. CIMA.
Experience:
High level of experience in working in an accounts office, double entry, preparation of accounts, wages and salaries, VAT and Cashflow management with good computer skills.
Characteristics:
