Assist with strategic initiatives and deliverables, by co-ordinating across the team and wider group in planning and executing against all aspects of project and change management relating to the Treasury Operations department.



This includes, but not limited to operational assessment, business analysis, testing against requirements and implementation activities as applicable. Where possible identify and highlight risks, control gaps and opportunities throughout the deliverable scope.




The candidate will be fully supported by the Senior Treasury Operations Project Manager for upskilling and on-the-job support.


Attention to detail on departmental policy and procedures is an important aspect of this role.


Responsibilities:




Treasury Operations contact to document new projects and initiatives. Take ownership of new bank account opening and closing for entities serviced from London (training will be provided to Marex standards) Support key process/system improvements and drive efficiencies across the Treasury Operations team Represent Treasury Operations team in meetings and forums, partnering with Finance, Operations, Risk and Technology to directly support and deliver against business and regulatory driven projects and initiatives. Where required perform front-to-back assessment of daily BAU tasks, identifying existing key risks and controls, while identifying and assisting to implement process and procedure enhancements, with the objective of creating a more structured and scalable department control framework Contribute to the Treasury Team and support the senior project manager through shorter-term projects and ad hoc analysis. Ensuring compliance with the company's authorisation Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with. Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values. At all times complying with the FCA's Code of Conduct

Skills and Experience:




Some relevant experience in project and change management is preferred. Experience of performing and documenting detailed business requirements is preferred. Excellent communication, co-ordination, and willingness to develop stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders. A positive and "can-do" attitude to support Marex and the department. This is a team orientated role. Some knowledge of

o Global SWIFT Payment network is preferred (primary payment method for Marex)

o Payment processing fundamentals is preferred.


Some knowledge or willingness to upskill in Treasury Operations functions over time to include

o Treasury Cash Management


o Nostro reconciliations

o Futures and options reconciliations

o FX Back-office processes

o Futures and Options clearing and cash flows driven by Initial Margin and Variation Margin

Willingness to upskill understanding of client money regulations (CASS) within role scope (training provided). Ability to work to deadlines, accuracy, with a high level of attention to detail is a core skill. Ability to work in pressurised situations by prioritising workloads (supported by Team) Willingness and ability to contribute towards improved controls and processes. Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environment.

Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this preferred.
