Job Description

To effectively lead and collaboratively work with a small Treasury and Corporate Finance team, You will ensure that short & medium term cash-flow is managed efficiently and long & short term development finance is arranged and secured. Preparing reports for Treasury Committee, ensuring effective relationships are maintained with the Group's financial stakeholders. You will also work with external valuers and legal advisers to manage and maintain the securitisation of the Group's loan book. Based in High Wycombe this role is hybrid; 2 days office and 3 days home/remote. Whilst the tenure of this role is for an initial period of 6 months, it is likely to be extended or made permanent. We are happy to consider 30 hours/4 day p/w work pattern (prorated salary & bens).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day management of the Group's cash position
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with the Group's bankers, lenders, solicitors and valuers.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Finance (Corporate Finance) to ensure new and often innovative loan facilities are put in place and fully documented and to this end to fully understand the Groups financial ratios and covenants and business plan.
  • Manage the Group's loan security position, ensuring all loan facilities are adequately secured to enable the Group to make effective use of its funding arrangements.
  • Work with the AD of Corporate Finance and Finance Business Partner (Development) to draw up medium term cash-flow projections, reporting these to Group Board.
  • Report to Group Board on a quarterly basis on Treasury performance to enable the Board to ensure this high risk area is being managed effectively.
  • Manage the interest payable and receivable budgets to ensure effective business planning
  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors in the course of their work to ensure they are provided with all information required for them to carry out their reviews effectively.
  • Sign and seal documents on behalf of all members of the Group as per the Code of Governance.

  • Previous experience of working in a Treasury environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Clear and concise verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast moving and ever-changing environment
  • Professional accountancy qualification.
Nice to haves:
  • Previous experience of leading a small team.
  • Association of Corporate Treasury entry level qualification
