Do you have experience in treatment processes and an understanding of manufacturing engineering? This is an opportunity for you to build your career as a Treatment Process Engineer, within our Transmissions Centre of Excellence function, at Leonardo UK, Helicopter Division. You will be providing expert technical support and advice on Treatment Processes within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing team.
You will experience working in a structured, busy and technically challenging but friendly environment on the delivery of manufacturing engineering activities in support of a Treatment Processes, primarily copper plate, to support the carburising and nitriding masking on a variety of gears ranging from 30mm to 600mm diameter on helicopter components.

What you will do as a Treatment Process Engineer:
Provide technical support and expertise for the Copper plate treatment operations and associated processes
Utilise existing strategies and develop strategies for improving product quality within the Gear manufacturing area to reduce non-conformance
Develop knowledge and expertise of tooling requirements for plating and masking operations
Develop, create and implement best practice working environments and working practices for sustained standard practices, ensuring high standards in manufacture are met, implementing drives for inspection rationalisation and process security
Develop and deliver improvement action plans and initiatives
What we are looking for:
Educated to at least HNC or Degree in Engineering discipline and strong technical background and relevant manufacturing experience
Detailed understanding of electro plating treatment processes
Good understanding of manufacturing and treatment inspection and non-destructive tests
Good understanding working with CATIA (V5), ENOVIA or equivalent 3D CAD software
Excellent organizational skills to manage conflicting requirements and multiple projects
Ability to drive change and process improvements activities
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing techniques
Experience in manufacturing engineering/shop support would be preferential
