As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Tree Surgery Team Leader & Climber to lead a dedicated team of 2-3 arborists.

The Role

In this role, you will take charge of daily operations on a variety of projects, ensuring that all tree surgery work is executed to the highest standards. You will actively participate in tree climbing, pruning, felling, and maintenance, while also managing and mentoring your team to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:Supervise and support a team of 2-3 arborists, ensuring effective task delegation and high-quality project outcomes. Tree Surgery Operations:Perform climbing, pruning, felling, and other tree care activities, maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Safety Compliance:Conduct thorough site risk assessments, adhering to industry safety guidelines and regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, HSE). Equipment Management:Operate and maintain chainsaws, rigging equipment, and other necessary tools. Client Communication:Engage with clients to explain work processes and ensure customer satisfaction. Staff Training:Provide ongoing training and support to junior team members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
Requirements

Experience:Demonstrable experience as a tree surgeon/climber, including leadership responsibilities within a tree surgery environment. Qualifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., NPTC CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, or equivalent). Safety Certifications:First Aid at Work certification is preferred. Technical Skills:Solid knowledge of arboricultural practices, tree species, and maintenance techniques. Physical Capability:Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Licenses:Full UK driving licence (preferably with towing capability). Communication:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage a small team effectively.

Pay: 130.00-150.00 per day
