Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the delivery process. MUST have Class C, CPC and Digi Tacho card. Good driving record with minimum 1 year HGV experience for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries or vans for the transportation of goods to various locations. Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in good condition. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation. Assist in warehouse duties when required, including inventory management, organisation of goods and other duties. There will be handballing on some deliveries.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential. Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and clients. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required, along with a clean driving record.
