Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a person willing to do tramping work and possess a strong understanding of commercial driving and have experience operating various types of vehicles. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage delivery schedules while ensuring the safe transport of goods.

Duties

Operate lorries, for the delivery of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for vehicle operation. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines. A good understanding of safety regulations related to driving and cargo handling.
