We are hiring an experienced Trust & Estate Practitioner/Paralegal to join our growing team in Birmingham. If you're looking for a new opportunity to be part of an established team then we would love to hear from you!

The Role





Working within the Private Client National Service Line in the Birmingham office, this role will be responsible for a mixture of document production, in particular of Wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney and in estate administrations. Specifics of these are shown below:


Preparing Will, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and associated documentation and covering letters on the basis of instructions taken by solicitors in the team. Administration of estates to include managing a file through the process to include collating estate information, making applications for Probate and completing required HMRC reporting for IHT and income tax, collecting in assets of the estate and distributing to beneficiaries and preparation of estate accounts: Managing day to day contact with clients as required.

The Person




STEP qualification 5+ years relevant experience within in a private client practice Strong IT skills and good written English Ability to build strong working relationships with a range of people, including Partners, clients and intermediaries Ability to work productively under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to prioritise work effectively Good team player who is keen, enthusiastic and willing to take on challenges Excellent attention to detail
