We are working with an established regional law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services. Their Private Client Division is one of the largest in the region, providing comprehensive legal services across multiple Midlands locations.
As a Trusts Manager, you will be a key member of the Private Client team, working alongside the Divisional Head and a team of experienced professionals. You will manage a diverse range of trust matters, ensuring high standards of client service and compliance throughout. This role offers the opportunity to lead on complex cases and support the growth and development of the Trusts team.
Responsibilities include:
Progress client files, liaising with key stakeholders to complete all relevant documentation and meet compliance standards.
Manage IHT, CGT, and Income Tax issues related to trusts.
Handle trust registrations, Trust Accounts, and Estate Tax Returns.
Oversee the investment of trust money and the liquidation of trust assets.
Lead and support the Trusts team to ensure effective workflow and client satisfaction.
What we need from you:
Proven experience in handling a range of Trust matters, including IHT, CGT, and Income Tax.
Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred.
Effective team management skills with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
