The Opportunity
The firm is looking for an experienced Trust & Tax Manager to join their well-established and award-winning Private Client team. This person will work alongside a close-knit team, managing a portfolio of trust and estate clients many of whom are high-net-worth individuals and families.
This is a technically focused role that requires strong compliance knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-critical work in a high-standard service environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing self-assessment tax returns for trusts, estates, and individuals
Preparing CGT returns for UK property disposals
Producing annual trust accounts and managing annual compliance
Preparing inheritance tax returns (e.g. for 10-year charges, exit charges, life interest terminations)
Arranging tax payments and corresponding with HMRC
Managing FATCA and CRS compliance obligations
Registering and maintaining trusts via HMRCs Trust Registration Service
Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, investment advisers, and other professionals
Attending trustee meetings when appropriate
Tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submissions and compliance

Candidate Profile
Candidates should bring a significant relevant experience and confidence working with high-value clients in a professional environment. Excellent technical ability, organisation, and client communication skills are essential.
Requirements:
Significant experience in trust and tax compliance
Advanced Excel skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Comfortable liaising with clients and professional advisers
Desirable:
Experience using CCH tax/accounting software
ATT or CTA qualified
