Role

The Tuckshop Assistant supports the day-to-day operation of the football club tuckshop on training nights and match days. The role involves serving food and drinks, handling cash or EFTPOS transactions, and helping create a welcoming environment for players, families, and supporters.

Key Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner

Operate cash register/EFTPOS and handle payments accurately

Assist with food preparation and basic cooking (e.g. hot chips, pies, sausage sizzles)

Maintain cleanliness of the tuckshop, including food prep areas and serving counters

Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Stock shelves, restock fridges, and assist with inventory as required

Assist with opening and closing procedures of the tuckshop

Provide great customer service to club members and visitors

Skills & Attributes

Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic cash-handling skills (training provided if needed)

Willingness to follow food safety guidelines

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Desirable (but not essential)

Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or food service

Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Experience working with community or sporting clubs
