At Arabelle Solutions, part of EDF Group, we're proud to design services and solutions that are generating power not just for today and tomorrow but for generations to come.
You'll work alongside passionate bright minds. We offer a broad range of opportunities for those eager to build tomorrow's world.
We believe a supportive culture is key to reach common goals. Diversity and an inclusive mindset makes us and our business stronger.
We are delighted to announce we are currently recruiting for a Turbine thermodynamic Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Rugby. As a turbine Thermodynamic Engineer you will be in charge of the general design of the steam paths of the turbine, integrated in a nuclear power plants (Arabelle or other OEM Turbine), and of the calculation of the predictive performance of the power plant through the modelling of the entire water-steam cycle. Typically, you will focused on our portfolio of Arabelle machines for 50 and 60Hz nuclear power plants associated with all types of nuclear reactors worldwide and may include support to Service teams on the turbine fleet installed in France.
You will work as part of the Retrofit Engineering team supporting design of the turbine as well as the optimisation of water/steam cycle of the plant. You will create a cycle model as well as calculate thermodynamic balances under nominal, partial or special conditions (malfunction of a component), correction curves (influence of a deviation on an external parameter, for example the cooling water temperature) as well as guaranteed performance data.
Working collaboratively with other member of the Engineering function you will interact with the designers of the other components, in particular the heat exchangers and the Turbine Design and Steam Path Design groups in order to ensure the continuous improvement of the product, in particular by integrating feedback. and the results of cost reduction and performance improvement programs
