Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic 11 Plus Tutor to guide students through the rigorous 11+ exam preparation. You'll provide targeted instruction in maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning, helping students build confidence and mastery. The ideal candidate will tailor lessons to individual needs, track progress, and create a supportive yet challenging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging 11 Plus tuition (small groups) in-person or online. Cover core subjects: maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. Use provided resources, past papers, and mock exams to structure lessons. Identify student weaknesses and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Track progress and provide regular feedback to students/parents. Teach exam strategies (time management, question analysis, etc.). Foster a positive, motivating atmosphere to reduce exam stress.
Requirements:

Proven experience tutoring for the 11 Plus exam (or similar selective school exams). Strong knowledge of GL Assessment, CEM, or other 11+ exam boards. Excellent grasp of KS2 maths and English curriculum. Patience, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex concepts simply. Reliable, organised, and passionate about student success.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
