This is a blended, fast paced role for someone who enjoys variety. You'll support day to day admin, help run our Community Club sessions, and provide one to one homework support. Tutoring in English, Maths, 11+ or Science.
Phoenix Learning Centre is a new and growing business, so you'll need to be adaptable and comfortable taking on responsibility. Because of this, applicants local to the centre are preferred, as trusted staff may eventually be given access and keys when appropriate.
We are Ofsted registered and support children aged 8 to 16 through tuition, holiday programmes and community activities.
Main Responsibilities
Administration
Managing registers, admissions forms and compliance records
Communicating professionally with parents
Supporting enrolments, direct debit setup and data accuracy
Helping keep the centre organised
Community Club and Activities
Supervising children in a safe, positive environment
Helping set up activities, games and creative sessions
Assisting staff during trips and holiday programmes
One to One Homework Support
Helping students complete homework with understanding
Building confidence and study habits
Breaking down work into clear explanations
Optional Tutoring (If experienced)
Delivering small group tuition in English, Maths or Science
Supporting progress and confidence
What We're Looking For
Reliable, organised and calm under pressure
Comfortable working with ages 8 to 16
Experience in admin, education, youth work or childcare is helpful
Tutoring or homework support experience is a bonus
DBS required (support available)
Willing to follow safeguarding procedures
Preferably lives close to WS5 for access and responsibility reasons
