In this role, you will be responsible for managing a case load of up to 40 learners. This will include on-site assessments, coordinating the apprenticeship with the employer, college & apprentice, completing progress reviews, liaising with lecturers and conducting portfolio days.

You will act as an assessor to groups of learners and will be expected to work to a target of learner completions per month. This role will require you to assess workplace performance as well as candidate portfolio building. We are looking to recruit Assessors to deliver City & Guilds. This role will require the successful candidate to work in partnership with our business to ensure learner completion to the highest quality.

You will be managing a caseload of social care, residential and education learners (including Functional Skills), both remotely (via telephone, video, email) and visits to the learner in their place of work.

Responsibilities:



Supporting learners online or visiting learners in the workplace and delivering teaching & learning in line with the qualification requirements Carrying out assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of City & Guilds qualifications, to ensure the successful outcome for the full achievement of the qualification in line with contractual requirements and targets. Agree and review progress with each learner. Create learner portfolios to agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted timely. Carry out efficient and effective operation of the assessment process in line with Company policy relating to quality and the requirements of the Awarding Body representatives. Carry out learner progress reviews with all learners ensuring employer and learner engagement. Undertake Health and Safety checks for learners on programme as required. Ensure that all Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety requirements (including Safe Learner Concept) are complied with always, and ensure all learners are given fair access to assessment. Participate in and support the annual self-assessment process. Attend and participate in meetings as planned and / or required. To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact. Complete all relevant funding documentation and administration tasks accurately and timely.

Skills and Qualifications:



D32 / 33 or A1 units Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g. AET, CET or DET or equivalent Relevant qualifications in subject area(s) Occupationally competent in accordance with Awarding Body guidelines Ability to prioritise workloads. Ability to use initiative and be flexible in approach. Experience of mentoring, coaching, delivering training or supporting personal development to learners Full driving licence Excellent communication and people skills as well as good time management in order to manage a flexible schedule Home Based - covering Wiltshire and the surrounding area A mixture of home working/remote and visiting learners in their place of work
