Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our outreach tuition team, working across Northern Devon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring and teaching (QTS essential), with the ability to engage and inspire students. This role involves working with children of various ages, many of whom are not in school for mental health reasons or on an autism/ ADHD diagnosis pathway. The Tutor will provide bespoke lessons to help students grow in confidence and achieve their educational goals.

Duties



Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Develop personalised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address specific learning objectives. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents. Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student confidence and engagement. Collaborate with other key professionals and parents in strong relationships to support students. Maintain clear communication with students regarding their learning goals and progress.

Requirements



Proven experience in tutoring or teaching at any key stage, including QTS. Familiarity with special education practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple students' needs simultaneously. A genuine passion for educating students facing additional challenges and a commitment to fostering student growth.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 33.00-38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 25 per week
