Our courses offer a fully flexible learning model with a blend of live classes, on-demand lessons and interactive learning materials.
Many of our students take their Modern Languages A Level with us alongside their school or college studies, and there are also adult learners studying from home and from the workplace.
Role for Italian Tutor (Freelance, Part-time, Remote)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher of Italian to be part of our Tutoring team delivering the A Level curriculum.
The successful candidate will play an important role in driving the success of the Italian academy, helping students to make the most of all the learning opportunities that the curriculum offers and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
This is a part-time, freelance and fully remote position, with a weekly teaching schedule of
1 - 4 hours per week
during term time, plus additional hours on a flexible basis for marking and curriculum support.
The teaching schedule is based on the following times:
Saturday mornings (live lessons)
Possible additional hours and projects, to be discussed
Lessons take place via Zoom within our learning platform, and course materials are provided.
Duties and Responsibilities (Live Lessons):
Teach 1 - 4 hours of live lessons per week, primarily for our weekly Speaking and Theme-based Discussion classes
Support students in developing speaking skills, using the Edexcel syllabus and course material
Bring in authentic language sources to support students' work on curriculum modules
Encourage students to aim high and achieve their potential at A Level
Requirements:
Native-level proficiency in Italian
Native or near-native proficiency in English
Knowledge of the A Level Italian syllabus and exams
A degree in languages and/or a teaching qualification
Enhanced DBS certificate
Experience in the online teaching environment, including using a Zoom classroom and online language learning tools such as Quizlet
Ability to work independently and creatively
