We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide high-quality supplementary educational support to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly in Maths and English. The successful candidate must be UK-based and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). They will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role requires a commitment to creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment that supports both academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver tailored lessons aligned to the national curriculum and individual pupil needs.
Provide one-to-one and small-group tuition in Maths and English.
Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise learning outcomes.
Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on progress and areas for development.
Create engaging, interactive learning experiences that build understanding and confidence.
Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages pupil resilience and self-belief.
Requirements
Must be based in the UK and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged children (KS1 and KS2).
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths and English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
