The Role

We are currently hiring for a tutor based in

Lewisham

or surrounding areas (e.g., Deptford or Peckham, etc.) to support a

Year 10 student in maths

as they prepare for their

GCSEs

.

Pay:

20 per hour

Location:

SE13 (student's home)

Commitment:

1-1.5 hours per week

Schedule:

Tuesday evenings during term time
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference through one-to-one tuition.

Essential Requirements

meet the following essential criteria:

Live within

30 minutes of SE13

(e.g., Lewisham, Deptford or Peckham, etc)

Must be a woman

as requested by the family Experience working with children or young people (e.g., as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker, mentor, etc.) Availability for tutoring during the family's preferred time slots (Tuesday evenings during term time) Access to a

printer

-- while we provide most materials, tutors are occasionally expected to print resources Educated to

degree level

(desirable but not essential)*

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective 1:1 tutoring sessions in the student's home Build strong rapport and trust with the student Adapt your teaching approach to meet individual learning needs Track progress and tailor future sessions accordingly Inspire confidence and a love of learning in your student
