We are seeking an Electrical Diploma Tutor for our training centre's in London and Hemel Hempstead. You will be preferably working part-time initially with a view to a full-time role with us.

Job Summary:
The Level 2 and 3 NVQ Electrical Diploma Tutor/Assessor will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students enrolled in the NVQ Electrical Diploma courses. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students in achieving their qualifications. You will also be conducting onsite visits for the NVQ students.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students enrolled in Level 2 and 3 NVQ Electrical Diploma courses.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes.
Assessment and Verification:
Conduct regular assessments of student work in accordance with NVQ standards and guidelines.
Provide detailed and constructive feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement.
Ensure all assessments are fair, valid, and reliable, adhering to awarding body requirements.
Participate in internal and external verification processes as required.
Student Support:
Provide academic and pastoral support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Monitor and report on student progress, identifying those at risk of underachievement and implementing appropriate interventions.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Professional Development:
Keep up-to-date with developments in the electrical industry and vocational education, incorporating new knowledge and skills into teaching practice.
Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) activities to maintain and enhance professional competence.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional activities as required.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety and safeguarding.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching, learning, and assessment practices within the department.
Support the achievement of quality standards and targets as set by the institution and awarding bodies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent).
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33) is essential.
Significant industry experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
Previous teaching or assessing experience in a further education or vocational training setting is desirable.
