Principle role
.
As a Tutor you would be responsible for supporting participants to achieve their goals and reviewing progress. Training and assessment of learners would include classroom/workshop delivery following and further developing Scheme(s) of Work.
Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience
Plan the learning and assessment process with learners and record and document assessments, supporting the learner in their individual learning journey
Deliver training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate learners to enhance their skills and progression opportunities
Provide focused support to learners with varied learning needs & requirements
Work as part of a team to ensure a quality learner experience
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience of working with learners and passionate about making a difference
Proactive and engaging training style
Achieved accredited A-D Grade English/Mathematics qualifications
IT literate, good administration and communication skills
An understanding of differentiation in delivery and barriers to successful achievement
Qualified or willing to work towards PTTLS/PGCE and/or equivalent qualifications
Ability to converse in Welsh is desirable and the commitment to learn is essential
Car owner/driver is essential.
The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
Salary and benefits: 24,265 pa (pro-rata for part time).
35 hour working week, although part time hours are negotiable.
Generous package of 32 days annual leave entitlement.
Probationary period of 6 months.
