Responsibilities and Duties
1. Lead the tutor team to deliver an exceptional educational experience for our pupils.
2. Oversee the tuition centre, ensuring effective logistics, time keeping and adherence to safeguarding and all policies.
3. Deliver 11+ tuition services in accordance with the lesson plan and scheme of learning provided by the Company.
4. Mark books in accordance with Company marking policy.
5. Be available to respond to Parent and Student queries at the beginning and end of each lesson.
6. Create a warm welcome for all staff, pupils, and parents in the centre.
7. Meet and greet all existing parents and children at start and end times of sessions.
8. Demonstrate our provision by showing prospective pupils and parents around the tuition centre.
9. Conduct initial assessments for prospective pupils, providing honest analysis and supportive feedback to their parents.
10. Providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with parents.
11. Manage parents' expectations and point them in the right direction for any assistance they require.
12. Offer ongoing support to the customer base, managing expectations and assisting with queries.
13. Complete administrative duties including but not limited to customer onboarding, ongoing member support.
14. Assist with project development including but not limited to creation of additional provision, resources, marketing, and member experience.
Experience and Requirements
1. Minimum 3 years teaching experience.
2. Hold QTS.
3. Exceptional customer service experience skills.
4. Excellent 11+ knowledge or willingness to learn.
5. Ability to build trusting professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
6. Ability to work well as part of a team.
7. Effective communication skills with an empathetic approach.
8. Exceptional organisational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
9. Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office including Teams.
10. Enhanced DBS clearance or willing to apply.
11. It is essential that you hold a full UK Driver's License and have the Right to Work in the UK.
Working Hours
The role is for 24 hours per week. There may be opportunity for additional hours.
This is an example of working hours split between management duties and administrative duties management duties, across locations including working from home, in centre, and in office once per week. This is subject to change depending on centre location and demands across the business.
The company is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Outside of essential core hours in centre and in office, there is flexibility to alter your working from home hours.
Saturday 0800 - 1400 CENTRE
Tuesday 1000 - 1400 WFH
Wednesday 1000 - 1400 WFH, 1630 - 2030 CENTRE
Friday 0900 - 1500 OFFICE
Pay
From 15,500 to 18,000 PA.
Rate of pay is dependent on level of qualification and experience.
Contract Details
This role is on a self-employed contractor basis, with the initial contract for 13 months until mid-September 2026 in line with the 11+ exam date.
You must be available to work up until this exam date.
The opportunity for contract renewal will be discussed with you prior to the start of the subsequent academic year 2026/27.
A separate Management Time Off document details time off, flexible working and invoicing.
There is a 2-month probation period. After 2-months you will have a review meeting with the Principal or Associate Principal.
