An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large and established team within the Paediatric Psychosocial Service. The post will be located at the Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) Centre at the Christie Hospital in South Manchester and organizationally based within the Paediatric Psychosocial Service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This role is for an 0.8 wte HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, at band 8a and provides an exciting opportunity to develop and provide a new clinical psychology service responsible for the psychological care for teenagers and young adults with cancer.
You will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist within the team, been responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments, MDT working, risk assessment and facilitating staff reflective practice sessions.
As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.
