JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Tyre Fitter is to:

To carry out fitting of tyres to manufacturer standards. To carry out such work in a safe and economical manner. To meet and greet customers on their arrival, assist them with parking and direct them to the appropriate department i.e; Service reception or a member of the sales team. Assist with on site logistics, free up customer visiting spaces and keeping the compound & storage organised. To liaise between sales and service to make accessible the cars required as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure vehicle tyres are fitted to manufacturer specification and thoroughly examined with any problems reported to the Service/Aftersales Manager. Maximise tyre and steering alignment sales opportunities. Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others. Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use of special and personal tools. Assist with on site logistics, free up customer visiting spaces and keeping the compound & storage organised.
Skills & Requirements

Essential

Good organisational and planning skills. Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT. Energy and enthusiasm. Full UK driving licence. Smart appearance.
Experience

Desirable

Relevant manufacturer experience.
