Tire Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tyres for various vehicles. This role requires excellent customer service skills as you will interact with clients to ensure their needs are met.

Hours Monday to Friday 9.15am to 5.15pm

Overtime optional.

Duties

Perform tyre installations, rotations, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. Conduct regular maintenance checks on tyres to ensure safety and performance. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Assist customers with tyre selection and provide recommendations based on their needs. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored. Lift heavy tyres and equipment as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Keep accurate records of services performed and any parts used during repairs. Workshop assistant.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. A valid driving licence is essential. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
