Are you a talented programmer with a passion for making an impact in observational research? My client have an exciting opportunity at their Centre for Observational Research (CfOR) for a Senior Programmer to contribute to groundbreaking studies that shape the future of healthcare.

Location: Uxbridge, UK (Flexible working options available)

About Us:

Our CfOR team is seeking an Epidemiological Programmer to drive the production of analysis datasets and conduct statistical analyses and reports for our observational research studies. As a Senior Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data stored on Databricks and SAS into actionable insights that drive healthcare advancements.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For:

Our preferred candidate is proficient in SAS and SQL programming, but we also welcome applicants with knowledge of R or Python. If you have limited SAS experience but possess a solid grasp of other programming languages, we encourage you to apply. Your understanding of SQL and experience with Gitlab/Github will be valued. Familiarity with statistical and epidemiological methods, such as study designs, propensity score methods, and survival analysis, is advantageous.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with epidemiologists to interpret analysis plans and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop methodologically robust analyses and implement necessary programming.
  • Ensure the accuracy of complex analysis datasets and identify outliers and errors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the programming team.
  • Innovate and offer creative solutions to enhance work quality and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple studies and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Work effectively within a team, showcasing strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in statistical or observational research programming.
  • MSc in Computer Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or similar field with strong programming or statistical focus.
