Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. The Van Driver will also be expected to maintain the vehicle in good working condition and adhere to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van for the delivery of goods to designated locations across the UK & Europe Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while adhering to scheduled routes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Perform pre-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the van, ensuring it is well-kept at all times. Assist with loading and unloading goods as necessary, including handling deliveries when required. Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and timely dispatch of goods.

Skills

Proven experience as a long distance Van Driver is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Valid driving licence Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial. Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine vehicle maintenance checks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
