What you'll do
Viasat International Government delivers secure space, cyber, and network solutions to governments around the world. Within VIG the UK Team focuses on Defence users across MoD and partners across government. The successful candidate will be engaged across defence with a focus on Royal Navy and Royal Marine customers, to help them realise their ambitions for a globally connected and integrated force.
In this role, the individual will be working with tactical and operational level user groups to capture real world challenges and requirements, and influencing senior defence officials to shape policy, and drive brand awareness and preference for Viasat's products and services.
You will be part of a team delivering mission critical capabilities to our partners and in a company that is leading the way with space and defence technology solutions.
The day-to-day
Day to day the individual will be engaging acrossNavy and Royal Marine HQs

Chief Technology and Innovation Teams
Special Users Groups and other Defence Customers
Partners Across Government
They will be working to solve challenges with Viasat's extensive satellite and defence technologies portfolio includingResilient network architectures
Multi Domain Integration and C2
Commercial Satcom
Securing data in transit
Milsatcom UHF
With a focus on end users, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving brand and technology preference across Strategic SATCOM, StrikeNet, Cabot and other RN Lead projects. They will also be engaged across industry including USV manufacturers, primes and SMEs.
What you'll need
5 years BD experience or relevant recent experience in defence
Ability to attain a UK Security Clearance
UK National
Technical mindset preferably with communications engineering background
Understanding ideally with recent experience of Royal Navy and Royal Marine Operations
