The UK IT Support Administrator is primarily responsible for providing first-line technical support to IT users across the Paragon ID operation. The role involves day-to-day systems administration and front-end management of software platforms, including daily monitoring of system logs and data integrity assessments.
The position provides ongoing IT service support to all company users, covering Windows and macOS environments, email and calendar systems, Microsoft Office applications, networking, and other internal systems. The IT Support Administrator will provide input and assist with the overall objectives of ongoing IT projects, supporting delivery through effective collaboration and technical contribution.
The role includes ad-hoc project administration, continuously monitoring systems, and working within company guidelines and procedures to complete all project and support duties to a high professional standard.
Duties
Configuring Security Software
Diagnose hardware and software issues
Document and maintain IT inventory
Review and Resolve IT Helpdesk Requests
Implementing security policies
Prioritise and Escalate Issues as necessary
Improving Security in the IT systems
Testing company's systems to locate potential risks and vulnerabilities
Monitoring of IT systems to meet the growing need of the users of the PID operation
Achievement of agreed service levels for user departments and customers
Supporting with IT operations and enable Paragon ID to meet its business plan
Ensure that all IT equipment and systems are operating as efficiently as possible.
Skills
Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques across various platforms.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Competence in using Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes.
Knowledge of network security protocols
Analytical skills to assess system performance issues and implement effective solutions.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
A minimum of one year's experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role.
Essential experience with Microsoft operating systems and network administration.
Proven experience in hardware installation, maintenance, and providing technical support to internal stakeholders.
Approachable and friendly, with a positive and proactive attitude.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
