Background of department/role

The UK Partnerships and Apprenticeships Unit (UKPAU) is located within the Directorate of the Senior Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Enterprise, and Business Development. The department provides leadership, support and advice for UK partnerships and apprenticeships provision. Furthermore, it oversees the process of UK partnerships (and apprenticeships) onboarding, development and delivery and supports the development and delivery of the university's Partnerships Strategy through its oversight of the Framework for Partnership Development. We currently have students studying our franchised or validated courses with 16 UK partner institutions, 2 of which are consortia made up of multiple FE (Further Education) colleges, and 5 of which are commercial colleges.

Due to the growth in both the number of academic partners and size of their contribution to the university' income, we are now seeking to appoint a dedicated UK Partner Officer. Reporting to the Senior Partner Officer, the primary role of the postholders would be to provide specialist, consistent support for the day-to-day operation of all activities pertaining to the management of UK Partners. This is an excellent opportunity to take on an active and engaging role, where you will be contributing to one of the University's most dynamic and exciting aspects of its work.

To be successful in this role you will thrive in an environment where you are establishing and maintaining productive professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholder groups and will have well-developed organisational and time management skills. You will be at ease when required to schedule and prioritise multiple projects and tasks with varying deadlines. If you are truly solution focused with an ability to critique both data and narrative, this would be the ideal post for you.

You will have GCSE Grade 4 ( or equivalent standard) in English and Mathematics with experience of using student records systems or similar database to support large-scale processes. You must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to produce clear, written reports and present statistical data and analysis in an accessible and inclusive way. Experience of working in the HE sector of working within the HE regulatory environment would also be advantageous.
